As a lifelong learner, I understand that adopting a new skill can be both exciting and challenging. I’m committed to supporting you every step of the way in your journey. I have extensive experience working professionally as an EMT. I also proudly volunteer in my hometown of Washington, CT where I currently serve as Chief of Washington Ambulance Association. Emergency Medical Services has become a passion in my life. I am a Licensed EMS Instructor as well as an American Heart Association CPR Instructor. I hope to inspire and empower my students with knowledge and life-saving skills.

PATHWAY TO EMT OR EMR CERTIFICATION
Learn the skills to become an Emergency Medical Technician or Emergency Medical Responder. Textbook, Premium Online Access, and Medical Kit are included in the tuition fee.
CPR AND FIRST AID COURSES
On-demand courses customized for Certification Requirements or Friends & Family CPR Awareness. For your convenience, class is held at your workplace or home.

WILL I BECOME AN EMT AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE EMT COURSE?

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN EMT AND EMR?
While the titles are similar, Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) undergo roughly double the training hours as their Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) counterparts. EMR was established to provide basic first aid treatment for emergencies and injuries by the first arriving responders, typically firefighters and police officers.
EMTs have more advanced skills, are able to administer additional emergency medications, and are trained in the transport, stabilization, and ongoing assessment of patients. Check out the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians for more details: https://www.nremt.org
WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CPR CLASSES YOU OFFER?
I am a certified Instructor through the American Heart Association. I teach courses for a variety of needs.
I teach "BLS CPR/AED" courses to Healthcare Professionals like EMS, Doctors, Nurses and more. These courses are intended for Healthcare Professionals who may require a completion card for their job. Topics include CPR and AED, Basic Life Support, Stroke training, and more.
I also teach "Heartsaver CPR/AED" Courses to anyone needing a formal certification such as Construction Workers, Childcare, Health & Fitness, Hospitality and More. These courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training who requires a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
For anyone just interested in learning basic CPR and/or First Aid skills with no certification requirements, a Friends & Family Class may be a good fit.
UPCOMING COURSES
EMT Course
The 2022 EMT Course hosted by Washington Ambulance Association has concluded. The class location was 92 Bee Brook Rd in Washington Depot, CT.
This hybrid course combined in-person classroom sessions with at-home on-line learning and was a great success.
